A TBS customer service representative will assist new users in setting up accounts for both the TBS Catalog and the BARD database. After your accounts are created, you can log in to browse titles, place requests, and manage your account.

TBS Catalog (KLAS)
This Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) allows users to order books from the Idaho Talking Book Service. Anyone may search the catalog, but only those eligible to use the Idaho Talking Book Service can order from it. Additional information and search tips.
Shelf Project
In the TBS catalog, you will find hundreds of books about Idaho and the Pacific Northwest history, geography, and other topics recorded by volunteers at the Talking Book Service.
BARD
Search the BARD database for a list of available digital titles that can be downloaded to your computer, tablet, or phone. Learn how to download and use the BARD mobile app and BARD Express.
Special Collections
Magazines
TBS patrons can request audio or braille magazines. Choose from a list of more than 70 titles on a variety of topics.
Kids Zone
A collection of audio and braille books geared toward patrons in preschool through grade 8.
Newsline
TBS patrons can request a free Newsline account where they can listen to more than 300 daily newspapers from across the U.S., including “The Idaho Statesman” (southwest Idaho), “Post Register” (eastern Idaho), and “The Spokesman-Review” (northern Idaho).
Foreign Language Materials
The Idaho Talking Book Service is proud to offer titles in many languages through the Marrakesh Treaty. The Marrakesh Treaty provides for the exchange of accessible-format books across international borders by organizations that serve people who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise print disabled. Access to the following fee-based resources is not part of the Talking Book Service, but these resources provide additional sources and types of reading materials.
Titles from these resources will play on the Talking Book Digital player with a free User Authorization Key (UAK) provided by the vendor.

Maintained by the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), the Louis Database of Accessible Materials contains information on accessible print materials produced by about 160 organizations throughout the United States.
